Leica everlasting M8 Camera: Don’t Buy The New Model…Just Send Your Old Model In For An Upgrade
Here is an eco-friendly idea, even though I don’t think the company is touting it. Instead of producing a whole new model of camera, the Leica Company has a new idea. Just send in your former M8 model, and they will upgrade it with their new M8 which has a new sapphire LCD screen that can only be scratched by a diamond, plus a new more stable, quieter shutter. All you do is book an update slot with Leica and the company picks it up and ships it to Germany for an upgrade. The Firmware will also be upgraded, and your warranty is extended for two years. It’s pretty expensive, around $1800 but I guess if you are a Leica fan, money is no object.
