The Cobra 76XTR

Remember CB Radio? Well, ask any trucker. It’s still around and still going strong. Cobra (what it use to be called) is a long time maker of CB Radios. It seems that they are getting on the bandwagon with CB’s that don’t look like your Grandfather’s CB. The Cobra 76XTR .
“This Cobra CB radio is intended to make CB radios more interesting for people who are young and want to have fun. The Cobra 76 XTR is not a typical trucker”s CB radio, however this CB radio has a neon blue illuminated microphone, neon blue illuminated LCD display, neon blue illuminated antenna, plus the maximum legally allowed power output of 4 watts! The Cobra 76XTR CB radio is not just for show, it has PA (public address) capability, dual channel watch capability, front speaker capability, and forty channels on top of that. The ability to have the all the controls all in the palm of your hand make this CB radio convenient, fun and safe to use.”
In my days before the Commodore 64, I was into CB Radio quite heavy. This brings back memories.

The”dual channel watch capability” is quite interesting. It allows one the capability to monitor two channels at once. Say for example you know your buddy is going to call on channle 10 soon, but you want to monitor 19. While you are monitoring channel 19, if your buddy calls for you on 10, this radio will automatically switch to channel 10. Nice Feature!
