A group called the Readybot Robot Challenge has created a kitchen cleaning robot called the Readybot. The team leader is a man named Tom Benson who says “We think people want a robot that can clean the kitchen”. The Readybot is dishwasher sized and can currently do a little less than half of your common kitchen chores, but Benson says it’ll eventually get to 80 percent. I think that robot automation for the kitchen has a long ways to go.
