CD’s are becoming rather outdated, since DVD’s are so cheap these days. It is much more logical placing your pictures on a DVD rather than a CD, because DVD’s hold so much more information. The Digital Photo to DVD converter does just that.
“This is the compact recorder that effortlessly copies photographs from your digital cameras memory card directly onto a CD for playback on a DVD player without using a dedicated computer. Photographs are converted into MPEG format and immediately burned onto a CD (CD-RW or CD-R required) which can be placed in a DVD player for slide show viewing using your DVD players remote control. An album index enables easy photograph selection prior to full-screen viewing. The recorder can also burn photographs onto a CD in JPEG format, allowing you to view the CDs photographs on your computer. The recorder has both RCA and S-video inputs that allow you to connect it directly to your TV and view photographs either from a burnt CD or from an inserted memory card. It can be plugged directly into your computer for use as an external CD burner or memory card reader using its USB cable. The recorder can accept Compact Flash, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Secure Digital, Multi-Media Card, and Microdrive memory cards.”
Hammacher is currently carrying the Digital Photo To DVD Converter for $199.95.

Tritium is the radioactive material used in compasses, gun sights, watches, and other items you might need to use at night. Unlike LED’s, tritum doesn’t need a power source. In fact, it will glow for years and years, without a power source. This keychain will glow for at least 10 years.
“They’re available from DealExtreme for just $9.80 and come in either a white glow or green glow version. And while the material is radioactive, it’s safe to use in consumer products since the beta particles it emits are too weak to even penetrate human skin. (Though at one point we thought radium was safe to use too.)”

If you don’t want to fork out money for a concealed handgun permit, this might be the next best thing. It’s called the “Umbuster”, and it is an umbrella with brass knuckles included.
“According to the design page, this brass knuckle umbrella or “Umbuster” was categorized as a class 5 weapon by the Victorian Police—the primary law enforcement agency in Victoria Australia. That would make it illegal to own there without a license. I don’t know about all of that considering that it appears to be a concept, but I do know you could do some serious damage with it. Then again, if you got in a scuffle in the rain, the drag from the open umbrella may render your punch harmless—resulting in a swift and brutal ass kicking.”

Here is a great way to advertise yourself, and do it legally. A great job finding tool could be the Resume T-Shirt. It is from Blackbird Tee’s. “When ordering, you choose an intro or teaser line for the front of your t-shirt (for instance, “My resume is on the back of my shirt,” a simple “Hire me,” or “I heart job offers”) and then upload your resume for printing on the back (as a Word doc, only Times Roman font). Choose from 6 different colors – $30 for unisex, an additional $3 for a girl’s fitted tee.

I remember back in the 60’s that every weekend, when I received my allowance from my parents, I would go to the local record store, and purchase two or three 45’s that were doing well on the record charts. You could buy a 45 for less than a buck. Here is something that will remind you of those old records. The 45 RPM Record Doormat. It has a nylon face with neoprene back, and is machine washable. 24 inches in diameter, and costs about $25.
