Latitude XFR D630 Ruggedized Notebook

The Latitude XFR D630 from Dell is not very pretty looking But it is Dell’s entry into the market that they call Ruggedized notebooks. This is not anything new to the notebook market, because companies such as Panasonic with its Toughbook has been doing it for a while now. But Dell is trying to beat its competitors with a lower price, even though the prices starts at almost $4000. The Latitude XFR D630 has a reinforced case, and is suppose to withstand extreme temperatures, falls, moister, dust, and more.
“Director of product management for Dell’s commercial notebooks Brett McAnally says the ruggedized Latitude is “100 percent compatible” with other Latitude D-series notebooks. That means common batteries, AC adapters, software, and more. “When IT wants to update, it can update in a standard way,” McAnally said.”
