This new oven from Electrolux is called the Inspiro. It has, what the company calls “auto-focus”, meaning that it is suppose to automatically pick the proper cook settings based on the contents of the oven. How does it do this? Well it has an array of sensors that are suppose to determine the exact combination of energy consumption and time needed to bring food to the correct temperature. The company says “it works in much the same way as you set a camera for aperture, exposure time, and focus, depending on the light and what’s in the frame”. Cool idea, I just wonder how well it works. Its not quite available, but will be soon. No price has been disclosed.
