Sony is trying some new things with its PSP gaming machine, trying to keep up with Nintendo. There is a new slimmer PSP that is to be released in September of this year, with a price of about $200. The PSP is 30% lighter, and 20% thinner than the previous model, which makes it a little easier to handle, without compromising usability or screen size. Several hardware changes are included, including the inclusion of a video out port. Other changes include doubling the RAM from 32 MB to 64 MB and also being able to charge the unit via USB. Several colors are available including black, white, and silver.

Canon’s HG10 is suppose to be the “world’s smallest hard drive based high definition camcorder”. I’m not going to argue; it weighs in at just under 20 ounces, and that’s with the battery included. The device also has 40 GB of storage space, which computes out to about 5 and a half hours of recording, at the highest quality setting. It supports full HD (1920X1080) and cost is about $1200.

Here is another one of those “many things in one device” items. Now you can have a numeric keypad right on top of your mouse. Cool idea. It’s a mouse with the plastic lid down, and a numeric keypad when you flip it up.

TV-B-Gone($20) allows you to go into a room, and turn off a tv discreetly at the touch of a button. You know….how many times have you went to someone’s house, and they were watching a tv show that you just hated, but you haven’t had the nerve to say “hey….can you turn that off?? It is disgusting!” Well, with this device you can do it, and no one will know who or what turned the set off. And talk about fun…just think about going into those restaurants or bars…and just playing with this thing…I know…it could probably get you into a lot of trouble, and remember as always, gadgetreporter.com is not condoning any illegal use. Be responsible, and press that button at your own discretion!

Now that HD DVD’s are dead, more and more computer makers are offering Bue-ray updates to the HD movie bandwagon. A system from Dell has gotten a Blu-ray update. The Inspiron 1525 15 inch screen notebook computer now offers this upgrade. The 1525 is a notebook capable of 720 resolution, and it also includes an HDMI output for playing on a big screen tv. The system is offered from Dell starting at about $879. Of course, the Blu-ray player is backward compatable, meaning it can also burn normal DVD’s and CD’s. It comes in several colors, including yellow, blue, and red.

Here is a Golf Bag from Japan with a Star Wars Theme. I don’t think that golf is a big game in Japan, but this bag might start a trend. This would be considered a “must” for the serious Star Wars Collector. You can own it with pride. Just click on this web site:

ArGoSoft Mail Server .NET is continues best traditions of our older, Win32 based mail servers. It uses concepts and methods, used, tested and approved by tens of thousands of users since we first released our first mail server in 1999. But, the .NET version uses more advanced database engine, and contains 100% managed code (.NET), which make it more reliable, efficient, fast. The difference in speed is more noticeable with IMAP and the Web interface.
It contains two modules:
* Mail Server module itself, which is a Windows service application, and provides SMTP (including secondary SMTP), POP3, IMAP and delivery services. It also supports Mailbag domains and has built-in anti-spam and security features.
* An optional web interface, which is a ASP.NET application, and allows an access to email. Users with special server and domain group administration rights, also can administer the server, using the web interface. Web interface is free, and comes with source code, allowing easy customization and localization.

Ah…more iPod docking things. iHome has a creation called the iH69 that puts your iPod right there with your computer speakers, just where it belongs. This is the first docking station, I believe I have seen that has came up with this idea. And you all know that when one device can do a lot of things…it makes things so much better. No word on the cost yet, and I have not heard of a review. Be one of the first to buy these speakers, and send us a review!

Wind power is the cool (no pun intended) thing now days, so here is a gadget called the Firewinder LED Windmill. It has a vertical corkscrew design, which features rows of white LEDs embedded in the blades edge. The LEDs glow brighter as the wind blows harder. Looks almost like an Irish Barber Pole, doesn’t it? It’s gonna cost you about $200.
