How would you like to carry your iPod around in a case that looks like it should be full of Altoids? Case Logic, the famous case maker of many different types, has came up with a tin metal case for the current generation iPod Nano and 80GB/160GB iPod Classic.

“The tins are custom fitted for either iPod, and are lined with a silicon insert to cushion the MP3 player while the metal case protects it from wear and tear. There are holes cut in the top and bottom giving you access to the iPod’s ports and controls, and the lid slides up and down so you can see the screen and access the scroll wheel. The cases run $30 each and are available in either black, pink, eggplant purple or silver depending on which version you buy.”

Are you tired of those old plain looking earbuds? Well, why not try Gribbits. Gribbits are plastic snap on pieces for your Apple iPod Earbuds. And they not only work with Apple, they work with other things, such as pencils, or stethoscopes. Designs include bees, a pair of slippers, a smiley face, and even a teddy bear. Plus many more. Cost is about $6.00 to $15.00. Well, I don’t know about you, but I would feel uncomfortable with a pair of frogs or bears hanging out of my ear. Hell, I have a hard enough time going to Walmart with my Bluetooth on one ear! Call me a GeekTooth!

We’ve reported on these environmental friendly MP3 players before. Here is another one. The Cranking MP3 Player that doesn’t need batteries. “To get power on this strange device, you just need to make use of your hands, and start the cranking sessions. One minute of cranking, results in 10 minutes of power, which means that after 1 hour of continuously cranking, there will be 10 hours of non-stop music.” And you don’t have to worry, you can also use an AC Adapter, or a USB port to charge the unit.
