Brookstone announced today its iHome iP99 clock radio designed for the iPhone and other docking iPod’s. Brookstone says that its iP99 is the first clock radio designed to charge, dock and play the iPhone. The iP99 is set for launch on June1 and those who pre-order now will get free shipping.

The iP99 will retail for $149.99 and allows iPhone users to listen to music via the clocks speakers and still take phone calls at the same time. The clocks speakers produce 10 watts of power. Other features include an AM/FM radio, alarm buzzer and a remote that controls iPod and iPhone features.

There are other clock radios on the market that will work with the iPod, but none of them today have allowed the iPhone to receive calls while playing music. This radio may be just the thing for iPhone users looking to keep their phone close at hand and functional, which is especially important for those who don’t have a landline.

Ah…more iPod docking things. iHome has a creation called the iH69 that puts your iPod right there with your computer speakers, just where it belongs. This is the first docking station, I believe I have seen that has came up with this idea. And you all know that when one device can do a lot of things…it makes things so much better.
