MoGo Mouse is a tiny and cheap alternative to using your trackpad

When I am traveling on the road, one thing I hate is having all those gadgets and accessories in my laptop bag. I mean, I don’t hate the gadgets themselves, however I hate having to keep up with all of them. Most of the time, I end up forgetting to put something back. Of course one gadget you really need is a mouse, because that touchpad gets rather cumbersome. But mice can take up a lot of room.

“While this MoGo Mouse BT isn’t going to be the most comfortable mouse to use for long periods of time, it will no doubt be better than using your trackpad. What makes this mouse really worthwhile is the fact that it slips into the PC Card slot of your laptop where it hides (and recharges) when you’re not using it. The mouse communicates with your laptop via Bluetooth, so it’s slightly less convenient for those without built-in Bluetooth. The best part is that you can find these for as little as $30.”

The Latitude XFR D630 from Dell is not very pretty looking But it is Dell’s entry into the market that they call Ruggedized notebooks. This is not anything new to the notebook market, because companies such as Panasonic with its Toughbook has been doing it for a while now. But Dell is trying to beat its competitors with a lower price, even though the prices starts at almost $4000. The Latitude XFR D630 has a reinforced case, and is suppose to withstand extreme temperatures, falls, moister, dust, and more.

“Director of product management for Dell’s commercial notebooks Brett McAnally says the ruggedized Latitude is “100 percent compatible” with other Latitude D-series notebooks. That means common batteries, AC adapters, software, and more. “When IT wants to update, it can update in a standard way,” McAnally said.”

The company iKey makes industrial computer peripherals, and today announced it’s latest keyboard. The keyboard features an integrated 25mm trackball. According to the website, the keyboard is built to meet NEMA 4X specifications for water resistance and resistance to corrosive liquids. Does this mean that I can feel safe putting my coffee cup right beside it? It seems to be a well made keyboard, constructed in a stainless steel case, and an industrial silicone rubber keypad. “We chose to integrate the 25 millimeter trackball due to its proven durability and patented sealing technology,” said Dave Huddleston, Operations Manager at iKey. “The compact dimensions allowed us to dramatically reduce the overall footprint compared to our other keyboards with integrated trackballs. The result is a product that compares in size to our most popular desktop products, but offers a new alternative for cursor control.”

If you work in an office where they keep that air conditioner on full blast during the summer, chances are your hands get cold as you move that mouse around all day. That is where the infrared Heated Mouse comes in. It is USB powered, and the mouse uses infrared heat to keep it warm, which is 104-113 Degrees F. How therapeutic this is for say, corporal tunnel syndrome, I am not sure. But it should keep those fingers warm!

Dell is known for its quality products to most of us. Logitech has made a mouse exclusively for Dell called the Logitech V220 Cordless Optical USB Mouse to match their Inspiron covers. What is the big deal in a wireless USB mouse? Well, nothing, but the real cool thing here is the different colors to match the Inspiron line. The V220 is available in Ruby Red, Jet Black, Flamingo Pink, Sunshine Yellow, Spring Green, and Expresso Brown. And it’s only available on the Dell website. Cost is about $29.99. And don’t worry, even though these colors were made to match the Inspiron line, it will work on any computer that has a USB slot available.
