Computer keyboards are loaded with bacteria and cross contamination. Especially keyboards and mice that are used in hospital and office settings. Recent studies have shown that MRSA can survive on computer keyboards for up to six weeks. Not to mention that person that never washes her hands after going to the bathroom. If you are really concerned about the cross contamination problem with keyboards and mice, here is a possible solution. The Silver Seal. “SILVER SEAL™ addresses the problem by embedding the antibacterial properties in the plastic used to make the keyboards and mice.” You can read more about it on the website.

If you are real paranoid, and want to have a voice and data record of who is calling your phone, then this gadget is for you The Teleport 2.0.
“This neat little gadget hooks into your phone line and stores all of the information about your incoming and outgoing calls such as caller ID and numbers dialed. Of course every time you pick up the phone, it starts recording and sends the data to your computer via USB.” The gadget is designed by Art Lebedev, the same guy that designed the Optimus Maximus keyboard. Competing with the MacBook Air is the Lenovo Thinkpad X33. It’s a cutting edge business tool, and probably won’t be priced cheap. Its release date and exact price are yet to be known.
“The ThinkPad X300 has three USB ports, a replaceable battery (important for those on long flights), built-in optical drive, every wireless option possible and a starting weight of 2.5lbs (we assume that weigh comes if you remove the optical drive and use a travel weight). To add to all that you get the SSD as a standard option, no slow 4200RPM that’s the base option on the MacBook Air.”
This information has been leaked, so it will be some time before the facts are known.

Remember WebTV? Hey, I subscribed, at one time, and I found it very useful, for what it was. To surf the web, and utilize your email. Well Samsung has a new idea with its SeeNSearch Set Top Box.
According to the website “Just as a consumer would search a channel guide to see what’s on and when, Samsung’s See’N'Search set-top box uses the same information, in addition to the closed caption metadata that is present for most programming, to scour existing Internet content (HTML coding, Web video, etc.) and make recommendations that would appeal to the user. To do this, the system monitors the contents of the program being watched, using lightweight natural language technologies to determine the topics that are being discussed. When the user presses the “More Info” button, the See’N'Search UI appears on-screen with related information or media that the system found on the Internet. The consumer simply selects a piece of content from any particular topic, and See’N'Search takes them directly to that content.”
But it sounds like interactive tv to me. How new is that?

There are a lot of combo-mouse gizmos out there. And most of them are not to my liking. However, here is one that might come in handy if you are stuck somewhere with your laptop, and want to play a few games. It’s called the Genius Navigator 365 mouse. It’s a portable mouse, just like any other portable mouse that you use for your laptop. But built into the mouse is a Gamepad. Since I haven’t had a chance to review this product, I am not sure just how easy you can manipulate the controls, but for about $35.00 it might be worth a shot.
