The Atomic Projection Alarm Clock projects the time right up there on the ceiling. Great if you sleep on your back, like I do! Like other Atomic Clocks, it receives a signal from the government transmitter in Colorado, automatically adjusting the time every night. What does this mean? It means that you will have the most accurate, up to date, to the millisecond clock on the block.
“This unique clock features an adjustable projection arm that displays the time or temperature on any wall or ceiling three to ten feet away. At six feet away the numbers appear three inches tall. The projection can be rotated for proper viewing. This clever clock also features an antenna, designed to receive the time according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Fort Collins, Colorado, from up to 2,000 miles away. The time will automatically adjust for leap years and time changes.”

The Pocket Mind Reader-2q is just that. A device that you can carry around in your pocket, and in 20 minutes or less, is suppose to read what is on your mind. It derives from a project that was started in 1988 by a person named Robin Burgener. How do you play the game? Just think of an object and then 20q will ask a series of questions through it’s LED display, requiring a yes, no, sometimes, or unknown answer. After the 20th question, the 20q will attempt to answer it. You can stump it, but it is more difficult than you think.
“Robin Burgener, the inventor of 20q started working on 20Q in 1988, with the game running on a 5/14 inch floppy disk. Now 20q is online and over 10,000 games are played each day – increasing the sophistication of the 20q network on a daily basis. The artificial intelligence behind the game is a neural-network, similar to a human brain. A human brain has about one hundred trillion synaptic connections. The 20q.net online version currently has about ten million, and the pocket version has about two hundred and fifty thousand. The game uses the neural-network to choose the next question as well as deciding what to guess.”

Well, we are in the middle of one of the roughest Winters in recent memory. And as everybody knows, it really takes a toll on car batteries. The last thing that you want to hear when you get into your car on these cold mornings and turn the key is……nothing. Oh no. Your battery doesn’t have enough juice to start your engine. Now you’ve got to get out of the car, open the trunk, and find those jumper cables that are buried somewhere under all the other junk. And then, to make matters more complicated, you have to find someone to jump you off. But not if you have the Portable Jump Starter in your car. It is a portable rechargeable jump starter that is small enough to keep under your seat for those battery emergencies. The Portable Jump Starter connects through your cars cigarette lighter, so you don’t even have to be outside of your car in order to give it that jump start. As an added bonus, the Portable Jump Starter recharges itself within thirty minutes of driving, again automatically, while you simply drive your car from the convenience of the drivers seat.

I’m not to sure if it’s a good idea to combine a cell phone and a watch. Reminds me too much of those old Dick Tracy comic books. But, the technology is here, like it or not. The Epoq Quad-Band GSM Unlocked Watch Phone has some pretty cool features. “New and in demand features include 50M water resistance, large analog and digital energy saving OLED display that finally looks like a watch, not a box on a wrist strap, and with a further lean towards “green” eco-efficiency, it has a built in kinetic recharge system that converts the wearers motion to energy to recharge the two included interchangeable Li-ion batteries.”
Should be available sometimes next month.

I hate keeping up with all those remotes. You can never find the one you need. It’s always under the couch cushions, or in the other room. Here is a universal remote that can be used to control your homes lightning, blinds, thermostat, and security systems, in addition to your entertainment system.
“The Universal KP-900 Wireless Keypad comes with a 100 foot range and has the ability to control up to 255 devices via IR or RF. It will retail for $599 when it is available next month.”

Remember long before the electronic Palm when that important to-do list was written on the palm of your hand? And remember how you had to be sure to scrub all of that messy ink off after you accomplished those tasks? Well here is an item that just makes sense, but is sort of tongue-in-cheek. It is called the To-Do-Tattoo. The website says “it’s the perfect solution for your shoddy short-term memory”.
“Our To-Do Tattoo kit includes 12 graphic “To Do” forms that you can apply to your body wherever it’s most convenient (or creative) and a skin-safe, washable-ink gel pen. You’ll never again have to make lame excuses for missing bowling night or your mom’s birthday. Nifty peggable blistercard packaging.”

I’ve reported on several types of portable chargers in the last few weeks. Here is another one that would come in handy in those instances where you need that juice for that device, but there is no outlet available. It’s a little smaller and compact in design than some of the previous ones I have told you about.
“PowerMonkey is a sleek little gadget that provides hours of extra power for portable devices. Think of it as a back-up battery that, once charged, holds its power without leakage for up to a year. Simply plug it into your gizmos and let the juice flow. You’ll never be caught out with a dead battery again. There are two kinds of PowerMonkey, the solar-powered eXplorer and the mains-powered Classic but both models come complete with all kinds of adapters, so you can fire up virtually any device imaginable. The eXplorer even features water-resistant rubberised casing, a folding solar panel and a handy LCD screen that displays remaining charge – ideal for adventurous eco-types who won’t be near an AC socket anytime soon. When you want some more portable power just leave it to soak up a few rays.”
