Definitely a video worth checking out. The numbers are not all new, but it is still impressing to see what is going on these times. Are you studying? If so, make sure to learn the right thing – about half of what you will learn in the first year is probably outdated in the third. Depends on what subjet your studying of course…

The question at the end remains and is not answered: What does it all mean? Well here’s my answer: Nothing. We don’t have an answer where this is going and we will probably never have.

The long awaited Sirius/XM Satellite Radio merger has came one step closer to reality. The Justice Department has cleared the way. Now the merger has to get FCC approval. Will this be better for consumers of satellite radio? Only time will tell. But I was taught in Economics 101 that competition is good for consumers. “After a careful and thorough review of the proposed transaction, the Division concluded that the evidence does not demonstrate that the proposed merger of XM and Sirius is likely to substantially lessen competition, and that the transaction therefore is not likely to harm consumers,” the Justice Department’s antitrust division wrote in a statement.

Dog Travel Sack

Well things have changed quite a bit when it comes to caring for our pets. This picture is from a do-it-yourself project from the June 1936 issue of Popular Mechanics. It was for those people that love to carry their dogs with them on automobile trips, but don’t want them laying in the back seat and sheddin hair all over the place. What this was is simply a large canvas sack sewed together with a hole for the dogs head. Can you imagine what PETA would think about this gadget today? They would probably say it was totally inhumane, unless you add some eye goggles.

Remember those cool sounds from the SuperMario Brothers video games in the 80’s? Don’t you which you could still have access to those game sounds anytime you like? (Shure you do…). Well this gadget is a device that you can take along with you on your keychain and get that Super Mario Fix. Remember the 1Up sound? Now you can hear it over and over and over…. “It’s hilarious fun at the bar because it seems to contain a bleep for every scenario. The ‘ouch!’ sound is up there with the Family Matters ‘Did I do that?’ when friends get hurt, and the ‘1Up’ jingle is an ideal salutation for anyone – well, within reason. “

Say Fool….do you remember Bosco “BA” (Bad Attitude) Baracas from the classic tv show A-Team? Ah yes, it was one of my favorite shows of the time. Bosco was played by non other than Mr. T. If you remember, he drove around in a cool black 1983 GMC van with a red stripe, red rims, and spoiler on the back. Well, my friends now you can own a piece of that great tv show. And Mr. T’s head is a bobble head! The Mr. T. Bobble Head Van sells for about $19.99

I hate bugs. Real ones, I mean. And I don’t have any desire to own a remote controlled bug. Because if I did, I am afraid I would “inadvertantly” run it into the nearest closed window. This Remote Controlled bug is crated by Japan’s Taiyo Toy. It’s actually called the Mecha-Chu Helibug. It has blades like a helicopter, and transparent wings. And it measures at over six inches long. Creepy!

medivista

Lincor Solutions out of Dublin, Ireland had created a device called MEDIVista. It has a touch screen LCD display, and is designed to be used in the medical field by patients, doctors, and nurses. The display is mounted on an arm next to the bed. Healthcare workers can use the device for medical reasons, such as blood pressure readings, displaying x-rays, and the like. And what’s cool about it is that the patient can use it for entertainment such as watching TV, listening to the radio, surfing the web, enjoying audio books, and even reading their own medical files.

“The company has recently signed an agreement with the Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey to install the interactive displays on all 397 hospital beds in the facility.”

matchstarterEverybody is wanting to put out less effort to do everyday tasks these days. You program speed dial on your phone to dial a number with less effort. On your computer, you use copy and paste a lot to cut down on all that typing. And now a gadget that is suppose to strike a match the first time, every time. The Easy Match Starter is somewhat attractive, and can be placed on a table with pride. You load the matches in it, and when one is ready to dispense, all you do is pull it out of the device, and viola! It is suppose to light. I haven’t been able to review The Easy Match Starter. Until then, I’ll take their word for it.

ferrari pedalcar

Berg Toys has made a pedal car that looks a lot like the Ferrari FXX. And it comes with features that other pedal cars just don’t have. First of all, it’s got a seven speed transmission, onboard computer, disc brakes, and semi slick racing tires with hubcaps that are inspired by Enzo. There are two versions of the car, a standard model which is about $730, and the Exclusive model which will set you back about $2200. The exclusive version has a racing-style bucket seat with a four point harness, a leather steering wheel, and an aero kit to help wind resistance. Top speed is about 10mph. Right now, the Berg Toys website is still under construction, but the FXX pedal car should be available next month on the site, as well as Ferrari dealerships. Sweet!

cheeseburger (Custom)You can purchase lots of things in a can now days. Canned ham, canned vegetables, canned dog food. The list goes on an on. Well, I wish this was a joke, but believe me, it’s not. A place in Germany now sells Cheeseburgers in a Can. What’s next? And why not? After all, we have Jalapenos on a Stick. Will McDonalds get on the bandwagon? I know…they will call it the MacCan. But I don’t think it would be on the dollar menu. It’s about six dollars for this nutritious meal. Yum Yum!
