Your cell phone is your lifeline. As long as your cell phone has juice in it, you have communication to your world. But what happens when that cell phone battery dies, and you have to make that important call while out in the world? You panic. You try to find a pay phone; but they are few and far between. You even think of asking that stranger if you can “borrow” their phone for a couple of minutes. Then, as you look in their eyes; you think twice, because you know the answer would be “NO!”. Well, here is where this little gadget comes in. The Turbocell Charger uses simple and readily available AA batteries to pump some go-juice into your cell phone’s lithium ions. As small as a pack of gum, and with enough connectors to mate with nearly any manufacturer’s phone, you’ll be good to go, no matter where it is you’re going. And it should give you just what you need. The average AA battery can add up to two hours of talk time to your device. Just enough time to make those important calls. It can plug into nine different types of phones. Chances are, your phone is on the list. All you do is insert 1 AA battery, and you’re good to go. And the device has a safety feature to keep your phone from overheating. I don’t know why they didn’t think of this idea any sooner!

Here is a cool little gadget. It’s a programmable LED name badge, that you can change on the fly! The message text can be easily programmed using the onboard programming buttons. The bad dimensions are 3-1/4 by 1-3/4 inches. It comes with battery, badge, and magnetic holder. Your choice of blue or red. The blue takes 2 batteries (CR2016) and the red 1 battery (CR2032). I am not sure why. It’s smaller than a credit card, and weighs less than one ounce. And the scroll speed can be speeded up, or slowed down.

The MySky is a high tech gadget that gives you a guided tour to the heavens! It is loaded with the latest gadgetry including a built in GPS, LCD screen, sensors that show you the magnetic North, electronic accelerometers, and complex circuitry. It is a serious stargazer device! The device gives you three modes; Identify, Find, and Guided Tour. In identify mode, it does just that. You point at the object in the sky that you want to identify, and it tells you what it is. Whether it’s the Big Dipper, or the Milky Way, the on board GPS system is very accurate. Through the Find option, if you want to locate a specific object (planet, comet, galaxy, etc.) you can navigate through the menus, select the item, and your MySky will point out its location in the real sky. Guided Tour gives you just that; a guided tour of the galaxies with its audio/video presentations. It also has an optional night vision mode to display the screen entirely in red to protect your night vision. The software is upgradeable from meade.com Far out!

It seems that now days the big thing with gadgets is integration. One gadget capable of doing more than one thing. Here is a device from Hyundai that will be available soon in English and Chinese that integrates a cell phone, a watch, and a 1.3 mega pixel camera. It also has a touch screen, and Bluetooth. It will also be microSD compatible for expansion, including MP3 audio and video playback. I am sure this device will suck up the battery, but if it lasts one day without having to recharge, it would be acceptable.

If you need a cell phone charger for your mobile phone, you can find it easily at any retail store that carries cell phone products. But what about needing a charge while your working at your computer? You have forgotten your charger, and you only have one bar of power left. You turn off your bluetooth, and hope and pray that that one bar will get you through the rest of the day while you work on that important project. That available USB port is just sitting there, waiting. The Nokia USB Power Charger for mobile phones works on just about all Nokia phones with the new 2mm power plug that don’t already charge via the USB port.

This gadget claims to be the “worlds smallest MP3 player”. Dimension: 24mm x 24mm x 24mm. Weight: 0.04lb. It is powered by a built-in 3.7V lithium battery, which will enable hours of continuous playtime between charges. It also comes with a USB adapter, making it easy to use with your PC or laptop while requiring no drivers or software installation. There is even a built-in FM radio to allow you to listen to your favorite radio station or keep up with the breaking news. With 2GB of flash memory, it has plenty of room to store a lot of music. The only problem I can see with this device is the size of it being so small. It seems to me that it would be easy to forget about it in your shirt or pants pocket, slip your clothes in the washer and…….you know the result.

If you take medication, its important to take it on time, and in the right dosage. The Vibrating 5-Alarm pill Box provides you a discrete method to be sure that your medication is taken correctly. You can set the timer at the specific time that your medication is to be taken, and rather than sounding an alarm, or flashing lights, it gives you a vibrating alert. Only you know of the reminder. It also provides a useful feature that is good for anyone on medication, a pulse meter. You can monitor your heart rate anytime, by placing your finger on the pulse sensor. Very useful!
