Brookstone announced today its iHome iP99 clock radio designed for the iPhone and other docking iPod’s. Brookstone says that its iP99 is the first clock radio designed to charge, dock and play the iPhone. The iP99 is set for launch on June1 and those who pre-order now will get free shipping.

The iP99 will retail for $149.99 and allows iPhone users to listen to music via the clocks speakers and still take phone calls at the same time. The clocks speakers produce 10 watts of power. Other features include an AM/FM radio, alarm buzzer and a remote that controls iPod and iPhone features.

There are other clock radios on the market that will work with the iPod, but none of them today have allowed the iPhone to receive calls while playing music. This radio may be just the thing for iPhone users looking to keep their phone close at hand and functional, which is especially important for those who don’t have a landline.

Pure water is hard to get these days. And we are always looking for ways to obtain it. A lot of the filters available are quite expensive, especially the ones that fit in the refrigerator water dispensers. ” The Cuisinart CleanWater countertop filtration system beats bottled water because it reduces contaminants that can alter taste and purity, and it’s more environmentally friendly. Featuring a 2-gallon water capacity, it quickly dispenses hot, chilled, or room-temperature water.”

When you are doing a lot of computer work on the road, chances are you don’t carry around a printer with your laptop. What you have to do, if you are like me, is save the document on a thumb drive, and then transfer it to a desktop with an available printer. This portable printer from Canon makes it easy for you to carry the printer along with you.

“The Canon Pixma iP100 can print up to 20 pages per minute on normal 8.5 x 11 inch paper. It’s hard to believe that something this small can print in color, but the Pixma iP100 can even do color at a high resolution of 9600 x 2400 dots per inch.” It costs about $250.

Stargate Mirror

People collect everything you can imagine. Even mirrors. Here is one for you people that collect mirrors, or just like fancy looking ones. It’s called The Stargate Mirror. You remember the movie, don’t you? Well if you don’t get to your local Blockbuster’s and rent it! “Normally made of Naquahdah (and once unsuccessfully made of titanium) and 22 feet wide, our scientists have used glass and polystone to shrink the dimensions down to a mere 10 inches across. All you need is a Zero Point Module to power it, and you’re good to go. Convenient enough, now, to hang on your wall. When you’re not actively powering the gate to generate a wormhole, you can look at your reflection in the event-horizon.”

Each $49.99 purchase comes with a “water-effect” event-horizon insert and is hand painted.

Gigaworks T40

16. April, 2008

Creative has introduced the GigaWorks T40 PC speakers. The company says that they have “Ultimate components, ultimate engineering, and ultimate performance”.

Sometimes fancy company slogans are actually telling the truth. Such is the case for the GigaWorks T40, PC Speakers that Creative can justly boast: “Ultimate components, ultimate engineering, ultimate performance”. “I got a chance to try these out the other day, and they played almost as good as my normal Logitech Z Cinema speaker system. However, the Z Cinema has the unfair advantage with their giant subwoofer. The GigaWorks T40 may not have that, but it makes up for it with the two premium woofers woven with glass fibers. As for the tweeters, they are arranged in an MTM (midrange-tweeter-midrange) configuration, with a cloth dome for crystal clarity.” Cost is about $400.
